In this video, I share 4 ways to be a more disciplined entrepreneur–and no, it doesn’t mean giving up more of your freedom or time with loved ones.
I used to rebel against the word “discipline.” For me, it conjured up thoughts of rules, structure, and honestly, boredom.
But I’m a freedom-loving entrepreneur! I don’t need no stinkin’ discipline!
Needless to say, I’ve done a complete 180 where that is concerned.
For a while I glided by on my pretty good work ethic, talents, and my need to be an “achiever.”
What changed was waking up one day not so long ago and realizing that if I didn’t change certain things (despite all of the above), I wasn’t going to get to the “next level” that had thus far been eluding me.
If you do what you’ve always done, you’ll just get more of the same, right?
It was time to take a lot more control.
In this video, I share 4 ways to be a more disciplined entrepreneur–and no, it doesn’t mean giving up more of your freedom or time with loved ones.
It’s simply about “hacking” your current routine, schedule and structure so you can shake up your results.
(On an even more personal note, I also share how falling in love played into this as well.)
Check it out to see how I did it, and how you can too. (Yes, I’m still a work in progress. But from the changes I’ve noticed so far, I’m hooked.)
Let me know what you think in the comments. Do you need more discipline in your business? Or, what works for you? I’d love to hear your thoughts.
Hi
You are really brilliant. Thanks a lot for giving this information.
I really liked that you admitted you have not always been a morning person. I sometimes feel like it is just me that struggles with that. I am going to try to implament some of your morning schedule and see if that helps me. I also need to be more disaplined, just because others do not see my work on the computer as work I do and I need to start treating it like a serious business. I also need to suck it up and be on social media more. I am legally blind so my screenreader does not play nice with facebook which make it a dawnting task. Thinking about what I just wrote and what you said, I think the lack of disapline and self talk that is not always helpful iis a trap that people with disabilities fall into. If empowering people with disabilities is my business I need to be more disaplined.
Thanks for the ah-ha moment I just had. 🙂
Hi Yvonne, wow – I am loving seeing you have an a -ha! Congratulations! Yes, it’s really not always easy, but I believe ALWAYS worth it! Best wishes to you!
